This past weekend, we headed out of the office to see the IronPigs at Coca-Cola Park for our annual ProtoCAM picnic! It was a beautiful sunny day for a ballgame featuring the Lehigh Valley IronPigs vs the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. This year, the whole office showed their team spirit and reverence for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday with matching T-shirts! Terri Mangino, wife of Doug Vokes, our AM Technician and Specialty Finisher, threw out a first pitch. Mascots FeRROUS and FeFe were on hand at the PenTeleData Party Porch above third base, of course, to add a bit more fun, and a few members of the team even won the “Pig in a Poke” raffle!
Highlights of the game included the highly anticipated Meat Race at the start of the sixth inning, featuring mascots Diggity, Chris P. Bacon, Hambone, Barb-B-Q, and newcomer, Ribbie; though it was a close race, crowd favorite Chris P. Bacon was the champion! Back to the main game, it was a race to the finish. Though the game was matched in the first quarter, the IronPigs took the lead in the fourth inning and held on. Though it looked like the RailRiders might make a comeback in the seventh inning, the IronPigs maintained their lead and earned their win, ending with a 10-7 score.
